April 7th

Rev. W. F. Mitchell
New York City

Dear Sir:
Last October, Wm. Still (one of your teachers at Brooklyn,Md.) called here, on his way to the field, in a destitute condition, and I loaned him three dollars to enable him to reach his school, for which he wrote me an order on Dr. Hatfield requesting to have it deducted from his first months salary. The order was sent to Dr. H. and I afterward wrote him in relation to it but received no reply. If you will please attend to this and have the money sent either to me or Maj. VanDerlip as soon as possible you will greatly oblige.

Very Respectfully Yours,
