D sir, I shall relieve Mr Cowart from his present contract furnishing fresh beef at Ft Myers at 5 [[underlined]]¢[[/underlined]] as soon as the cattle now there shall have been consumed.

If you will furnish good beef thereafter at both Fts Meade & Myers you shall have this contract at 6 1/2 cents a lb. for each post - the cattle to be transported at public expense to the mouth of CaloosaHatchee-or if you can drive them down by land you shall have seven cents (7¢) at Ft Myers.

Mr. Cowart now has some 10 or 12 mulch cows at Ft Myers, but if you give satisfaction & take his cows at a reasonable valuation, you shall have the exclusive right to keep cows milk for sale there

I will leave detailed instructions with Lieut Everett A.C.S. at Ft. Burke and I desire you to attend at once to this matter & notify Lt. Everett & notify Lt. Everett of yr acceptance or nonacceptance

  1200 "[[ditto for lbs]] Sugar
   900 "[[ditto for lbs}} Soap
    30 Kegs pickles
and every month about 24 Bbls Potatoes if sound
