donation is of considerable scientific value as it extends the breeding range of several species considerably to the northward.

A valuable collection consisting of forty (40) sets, one hundred and thirteen (113) specimens and seventeen (17) nests, from the Death Valley region in Southern California, Nevada and Utah and containing a number of rare specimens.

Interesting accessions have also been received as follows:

From Mr. Guy E. Mitchell, Washington, D. C. a local collection consisting of fifty-nine (59) sets, and two hundred and thirty-nine (239) specimens.

From Mr. Walter F. Webb, Geneva, New York, thirty-nine (39) sets numbering one hundred and thirty-seven (137) specimens and ten (10) nests.

From Asst. Surgeon Edgar A. Mearns, U. S. Army, Fort Snelling, Minn., Forty-six (46) sets, numbering one hundred and seventy-seven (177) specimens and twenty (20) nests.
