J.R. Brown, [[/underlined]] and his address is 290 South Howard St. Baltimore: that he should be sent to Solomon's Island, to Capt. Butler, [[/underlined]] his former school-mate, has promised to show him the mode of teaching &c. if he should be located near him. 1.29.69. | 188. * Butler, J.H. | Benedict, Charles Co. Md. States that he found the work on this school-house stopped: that he held a meeting and collected sufficient funds to finish it and thinks the house will be ready for teacher on the 1st of March: that it is 24 x 35 ft. and by far the best house in the County &c.
