States that Circular No.3 from these Head Quarters, April 10th/69, referring rental accounts from Educational Associations to Supts. of Education, renders unnecessary the monthly report contained in blank No.5, of schools, teachers, buildings &c.:  that great care should be taken in examining the accounts for payment made out on the schedule report &c.

5.27.69. | 269 * Bond, Matilda.  Teacher. | Rockville, Montgomery Co. Md.  May 25th 1869.  States that she opened school in the basement of the church as soon as she arrived, but is now teaching in the school-house:  that as the people are poor she will defer ordering books for the present &c. &c.

5.28.69. | 270 * Bureau R.F. and A.L.  Rev. J.W. Alvord, Genl. Supt. of Schools. | Washington, D.C.  May 28th 1869.  States that the Commissioner directs that steps be taken to prevent scholars in large towns and cities from going from one school to another, at least during any one term &c. &c.

6.2.69. | 272 * Bond, Matilda.  Teacher. | Rockville, Montgomery Co. Md.  May 31st 1869.  States that she has answered those questions to the best of her ability:  that she taught one week in April:  that her fare was $1.50.

6.3.69. | 273 * Brackett, N.C. | Harper's Ferry, W. Va.  June 1st 1869.  Inquires when the Supt. of Education is coming that way.  Thinks it time for him to inquire about that rent again.  States that they commence repairs to-morrow.
