2,7,'70 7 * | Richards Sarah V. | Barnesville, Montgomery Co. Md. January 30th, 1870 States the receipt of check for last month's salary from Mrs. Lowell. States that the school is progressing, and writes for map, enclosed purchase money for the same.

2,10,'70 2 * | Richards Sarah V. Teacher. | Barnesville, Montgomery Co. Md. January 28th 1870 States that her school is very much in need of desks. Wishes to know from whom she may expect her salary, [[underlined]] Mrs. Lowell [[/underlined]] or Supt. If from the latter, she desires it sent by [[underlined]] Mr. [[/underlined]] Adams trustee of Poolesville schools. Two mos. salary are due beside $ 2. 62/00, on travelling expenses. 

2,14,'70 #3 * | Richards Sarah P. | Barnesville, Montgomery Co. Md. February 11th, 1870 States the receipt of letter form supt containing $1. 25/100 and says the map was received a week ago: that Mrs Lowell says that she will pay her salary: hopes you have done nothing about it, &c.

3,25,'70 #4 * | Rusfelt James, Esq. | New Market, Fredrick Co., Md. March 23d 1879. Gives instruction how a teacher can reach New Market. 

3,16,'17 5 * | Russell James, Esq. E. B. Vol 1th W. 3 | New Market Md. March 16th 1870. States that he has given up the school at that place and desires to know if Genl. Howard can furnish that school with a colored female teacher. Asks to be informed as to what can be done.
