States that Miss [[underlined]] M Swan's [[/underlined]] School at Port Tobacco is in a flourishing condition:— that at Chickermoxen Creek, the house is nearly completed, and they are ready for a teacher:— that at Nanjimoy, the work on the house is progressing:-  that at Charlotte Hall, the people are trying to get land for a house:— that he is now at Benedict, where he thinks there should be a school, as there are none within ten miles of that place:— that he shall go to Trent Hall and from there to Calvert County.  Requests that the flooring plank may be sent to Nottingham.
