States that on the 10th inst he visited Woodville, and found Miss [[underlined]] [[Cakley's]] [[/underlined]] school in a flourishing condition:-  that they are making the desks and seats for the house at Horse Head:-  that the Nottingham House has been closed in and the floor laid, and they are trying to raise money to buy lumber for seats and desks:-  that the house at Plum Point, and the one at the Swamp, are nearly finished, but they are short of lumber at the latter place and they intend to have a Fair on the 15th of July in order to raise money to finish the house.  Requests the Supt. of Education to be present:-  States that he visited Mr [[underlined]] Johnsons [[/underlined]] school at Upper Marlboro and found it in a very prosperous condition:-  that at Benedict, they have raised the money and are about to purchase a lot, and expect to get out the heavy lumber this week:-  that he is trying to raise money to get the houses plastered that are up, and to have debts paid as fast as possible.
