Sir, your favor was received this morning by me. and according to your instructions I showed Mr. Cox the letter, and after a very slight examination he said that he thought I had better spend a few months at the Normal School, to learn the rudiments of teaching agreeably to the present plan &c.  Your terms in regard to pay, suits me very well.  Will your honor please further instruct me up on the matter?  I have spent some 9 or 10 years at School in Baltimore so your honor is left to Judge me worthy or not.  Should I take the school in Calvert Co. young Butler my old schoolmate, who has been at the Norman School will be near
