From February 1st to March 1st, 1869 Prince Georges County Maryland Rev. John Kimball I have visited all the schools in this county which is ten in number and nine of them are in full operation and well attended And the people of this County show a marked improvement to what they did this time last year, And I can truely say that the schools are doing much for the Colored people of this county.

There have been verry little ^done in the Education point-of view for the Colored people of this County. Two school Houses in this County and school in one which is Mount Gregory Miss Jones has a good school, And one small school taught in a private House at Ellicott City [[strikethrough]] taught [[/strikethrough]] by Mr. Jeramiah Decosey And the school House at [[Bekridge?]] have no teacher.
