Rev. J. Kimball

Dear Sir Our teacher Mr. Douglass, is about to leave to day on a visit to Washington or Baltimore on business personal to himself as he says, and will not be back until some time next week.

We think he should have arranged his matters so as to have gone last week & been back at the end of the holidays & thereby not have lost any time; but he stays here during all the holidays & not until they are over does he think of going.

I thought it my duty to inform you that our teacher is in this way losing very valuable time which ought to be spent at his school & I concluded to let you you know it.

Very Respectively

P.S. Please send me the regulations about the schools as to loss of time by teacher, & his leaving his school without proper notice & authority.
