Rockville June 25th 1869

Mr. Kimball

Sir

I received your letter and hastened to answer it I scarcely understand the meaning of your letter, namely of my teaching two months longer, I had made up my mind, agreeable to the people by your permitision to teach until the last of July, and give holiday for the month of August, and then take in the first of September, as I think it will be so oppressive, taking that long walk all of the summer. I did think that perhaps you intended not having any school after August, or if it was your intention to remove me at the expiration of that time.
