Mr. Swain:

I suppose that you recieved my report in due season.  As my boots will not last me this month out and I did write to Mr. Kimber but before my letter reache him I understood that he resigned it had the particulars stating the condition of my affairs.  So I will call upon you and see that whether there can be something done in advancing my 2nd month salary to me before my feet [[strikethrough]] get bare [[/strikethrough]] is entirely bare  If possible I would like you to send it down by the bearer or (Washington Burch)  Your will me if you please
