Dear Ms Sklarek

I am very sorry for the long delay in relaying your copy to you. Things have been tight and hecktic. I hope that you will find it good reading.

This summer, and before then, funds providing, I shall being doing more research on my Arch-PHD thesis entitled tentatively "Architectural History of Black America." Now the actual content is not determined at this time. However, I wish to have a few sections on the black woman's involvement in the profession. Not just as a registered or non-registered architect, but also as a draftsperson and company/corporate administrator. I would be honored if you would permit me to include your name and background in my material.

Also, I would appreciate it if you would send me names and addresses of other black women active or inactive in the profession that you, or people about you, have knowledge. This information will be most helpful because not many people realize that there are as many black women as there are in the profession. Be they architects, builders, craftspeople or educators.

Perhaps I shall see California, and you, this summer. Thank you for your time and help.
