If you can find a position for Mr Johnson in Maryland, under the supervision of Mr Kimball - or in - Kentucky or one of the South Western States, among some of the strong [[underlined]] Conservative [[/underlined]] population where [[underlined]] good loyal anti slavery teachers [[/underlined]] are difficult to find I think it probable he may in time prove very useful. Probably some of the Southern Counties of Maryland such as Prince George's - he may not be able to do much harm politically - and if he should succeed in getting a large School, & Sunday School, he may become so much interested as to prove a valuable auxiliary.
