the Lanlady's business was seling cakes [[insert]] &c. [[/insert]] in Town, & as I were going there, she asked me to carry her basket, I did so, we all went to Town together. in the evening they returned to their homes, but I remained in Town at the appointed time the meeting opened, we had a crowed house & many of both [[?]] colors outside. I spoke one hour & a half, Capt. A. A. L. a shorter time.

I started next day for my school-house, in order to have it ready for another meeting that was to tak place on the following Monday. this woman learned that I was going back that day she emmediately got ready & asked me to take her back with me. I did so. you see therefore she spent the mast of her Christmas with me.

I have not time to give so close a statemen of the man but as the people told me, & as I have expearence myself he was a man who worked hard to get trusteeship when the house first cam to them.
