You state in your favor bearing date 1st inst that you want the number of Teachers white and colored, and aggregate number of pupils in the county schools &c and desire me to furnish such information

In reply permit me to say that I am at present only one among the teachers and know nothing of the other schools. The Clerk of The Board of Commissioners, John H. Wiltberger, Washington D.C. would doubtless send the information required.
