Wed. July. 13 - Bill Musick came and as Clara Stahl + Louise Morris were going out to get data for their publicity, we all went out in his car- He has been doing some [[?corbing]] mural work [[insertion]] for clinics [[/insertion]] with boys of 16 + 18 years - in a High School - on walls quite large. There are a number of panels, subject Food- problems handled in original + intelligent manner - refreshing viewpoint- He found these murals equally refreshing intelligent + original - though so different. He went away + brought to Babos + his father back with him. It is interesting to note the exhilarating effect the walls have on people of most varying sorts. With Babos the elder [[insertion]] Pole[[/insertion]] it was the color. So [[insertion]] unity [[/insertion]] [[strikethrough]] found [[/strikethrough]] it was the panel above the door of the Buffalo prayer, and [[underline]] all [[/underline]] the New Wall - the delightful, beginning of [[strikethrough]] Albert with [[/strikethrough]] the gray blanket back of the [[insertion]] Navajo [[/insertion]] woman who will be gray- we hope; and the thrilling beginning of [[strikethrough]] Oqwa Pi's with [[/strikethrough]] the buffalo piling up [[strikethrough]] behind [[/strikethrough]] in a phalanx with the proud Indian on horseback behind so [[underline]] close [[/underline]] behind, but the more decoration for that; and the generous suave lines of [[strikethrough]] Romando [[/strikethrough]] the Pottery makers. He agrees with me that it is Romando who above all the others has the great mural feeling. On Romando I would bank others leave more brilliancy + dash but it is Romando who leaves on the wall the immistakable imprint of what we know to be best in the Indian and at the same time allots that wall to have its own way in quiet [[insertion]] and [[/insertion]] dignity. At last the prayer feathers are dripping from the rainbow at each corner of the room and the rainbow lady herself is truly glorious. But as Jo says, there is something clean and sweet about keeping the panel over the door pain and I have just phoned the office to send a message to say the panel [[underline]] shall [[/underline]] be left clear for the present. There is much Speculation among us all as to whether the heavy buffalo panel will over balance the deer. My hope lies in the space below the buffalo balancing the space above the door, forming an assymmetrical symmetry- a moving mass of form across the wall from one corner to the other, that fits the theme "theactricties" of
