BLANKET ROLL AND PACK
[[circled]]1[[/circled]] Spread out one of your blankets like this.
TOILET ARTICLES, VALUABLES AND POSSESSIONS WHICH MIGHT BREAK.

[[circled]] 2[[/circled]] Roll up the blanket so the toilet articles etc. will be well padded and rolled into the center of the blanket roll.

[[circled]]3[[/circled]] With your other blanket or blankets wrap your grub, cooking tools, and any other articles into a package -like bundle. With leather thongs or light rope bind it like this.

[[circled]]4[[/circled]] Attach thong here.

[[circled]]5[[/circled]] Attach another thong here.

[[circled]]6[[/circled]] Attach a pair of shoulder straps to the top of the pack.

[[circled]]7[[/circled]] Band your blanket roll over the top of your pack and secure it with the side thongs.

Correct position.  
[[circled]]8[[/circled]] Bring straps over shoulders, cross them on your chest, then pass around your back, bring to front and time at your waist.

[[circled]]9[[/circled]] When a pack is not needed a blanket roll is tied and carried like this.

[[circled]]10[[/circled]] On police, military, and western saddles just behind the cantle (or hind bow of saddle) are leather thongs or metal rings for tying on blanket roll.
