Lewis Charles.

States that he has been to Buffalo and consulted with the Board of Education in regard to a colored school, but thinks they are not willing to do much toward it:- that the colored people are very desirous of having one, and have already raised $100.00 which they have deposited with the Board of Education:- that the house will cost $450.00 and if the Bureau will give $200.00 they are confident of their ability to pay the balance on the terms specified.

Requests to be informed what can be done by the Bureau.
