I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your instructions of June 30th. 1886, relating to the operations of the Department of Reptiles under my charge, and respectfully report as follows:  

1st. "Important additions during the fiscal year ending June, 30th. 1886."

A collection from Olney, Ill. collected by John and Chas. Walker, containing thirty-three specimens. A collection from Nicaragua, from Dr. J. F. Bransford, U. S. N. containing 191 specimens, which were sent to Prof.E.D.Cope, Nov. 2nd. 1885. A collection of 471 specimens from E.Wilkinson, Chihuahua, Mexico, also sent to Prof. Cope,Nov.2nd.1885.
