Romney West  Sept 2nd 1868

Dear Sir

I received your letter and was glad to hear from you  there is nothing very encourageing among us at this time  I am sorrow to say that our coulard school in romney stoped on the first day of September  we would like to continue the coulard school if we could possibly do so  the children are all in a very beautiful way of learning and we are very loth that the school should ceace  the trustees say that there is no more funds in hand to carry the school on  I cannot perceive why our school cannot go on in Romney  it has only been in session four months and we have a very sorrow school house and that
