VOTED that the Board of Regents reappoints to the Commission of the National Portrait Gallery Barbara Tuchman and Frank Stanton for terms expiring at the end of May 1990 and Robert McNeil for a term expiring at the end of November 1989.

[[underline]]National Museum of African Art Commission[[/underline]]

With two seats on the National Museum of African Art Commission to be filled, the Commission recommended that Mrs. Helen Neufeld and Mr. Colbert King be appointed. Accordingly, it was

VOTED that the Board of Regents appoints to the National Museum of African Art Commission Mrs. Helen Neufeld for the period through December 31, 1985, and Mr. Colbert King for the period through December 31, 1986.

[[underline]]National Museum of American Art Commission[[/underline]]

The National Museum of American Art Commission recommended a number of candidates to fill a variety of vacancies on the Commission, and it was

VOTED that the Board of Regents appoints to the Commission of the National Museum of American Art, Donald Anderson, Walker Hancock, Bartlett H. Hayes, Jr., and Eloise Spaeth for terms expiring in December 1987, and the Board appoints Charles Parkhurst to a term expiring in December 1984, and Gene B. Davis and Margaret Dodge Garrett to terms expiring in December 1987.
