All have been relabeled and card-catalogued.

Of these specimens a great many are without any data whatsoever.  Over 140 jars are without the slightest indication of locality, most of them having been entered, or reentered, in 1881, the "remark" in the register book usually being "old no. obliterated". It is highly to be regretted, however, that the old labels were destroyed at the time.
