Supt. of Education &c
Washington,
DC.

Dear Sir:
Yours of the 5th inst asking whether I had sent a teacher to Annapolis, and informing me of the need of 15 teachers to supply schools now vacant in Md. was received in due course.

I have the honor to inform you that I have not supplied the Annapolis school with a teacher. As to the want of 15 additional teachers our Association cannot incur any additional expense to the 65 we have now in the field.

Very Resp'y.
