Benedict April 10th 1870 Mr. Vanderlip Sir, the complaints that has been made to you, has only been through mere prejudice there had never been the least difficulty with the scholars. There is a party here that is trying very hard to break up our school and I suppose they thought by composing a base falsehood and writing to you, that they would accomplish their wicked design.
