March 23rd 1870

W.L. VanDerlip Supt. of Education

Dear Sir
I called at this school House and found no teacher But saw the trustees who said that they are ready for a teacher here and would like very much to get one on the first of the month They say they have a Boarding place and have thirty odd children to commence with I told them that I would write to you and you would communicate to them what you could do for them I told them to plaster the school House this sumer They say they will do so I called at Mr Robeys about 4 oclock but no one was at the school and I did not get to see the teacher there But I am told they have a verry small school.
