I did, it was unnecessary, as they tell me that they received them from Mr. Core in Baltimore. Miss Douglass will need them, however.

Will you please to let me know how many, if any, of our schools, can be visited from Washington?

Yours of Jan. 25th is just received with the recommendation of Henry Brown as teacher at Newport - we will appoint him from Feb. 1st at $20. - per month and I will write to him to that effect. 
We shall also be glad to pay the salary of Mrs. Clarke's assistant, although we shall leave the main care of her to the N.E. Branch. Will you ask Mrs. Clarke to engage her from Feb. 1st also? I hope she will be able to secure the services of the young girl, her pupil, whom you mentioned.
