Major W. L. Vanderlip
Supt. &c.

Dear Sir,

I am sorry to hear about Miss Iredell's having left Federalsburg — she seemed to be doing so well.

I sent her only yesterday, a check for $28.30, to cover her salary for February ($20.-) & her transportation from Washington.

We should like to have another teacher sent to take her school, but want you, if you please, to make the condition I mentioned yesterday, i.e., that we may withdraw her at any time.

Respy. yrs.
