Yours of the 9th is recd - I do not send the money for Mr. Hill's expenses, not understanding whether you are to receive it or he.

About the books, we should much prefer to have the teachers pay for these after we send them their salary, as we have not made any arrangement of the kind with them & do not want them to feel that we are taking any unfair advantage of them.

I have had no news yet of Henry Brown at Newport; I wrote to him twice that we
