Dear Sir:

I enclose the Rental Account for the Quarter ending March 31st 1870, in duplicate. Will you be so kind as to fill in the blanks I leave for the amount of Rental due?

If the Bureau is able to continue the payment of the $10.- per month for each teacher to June 30th, our engagements with A.F. Hill, C.H. Harrison, Miss L. Smith & Jos. Chew will hold, but if you feel any doubt about our receiving that money, will you please to direct these four teachers to close their schools on the first of May?

A.F. Hill (Salem? - near Centreville) reports [[underline]] eleven [[/underline]] average attendance for [[strikethrough]] Apr [[/strikethrough]] March, while C.H. Harrison at Centreville reports one hundred & ten ! I shall write to the former to close his school & act as assist-
