The relatives of the following named boys (Cold) are anxious to obtain information concerning their situation and before: viz.  

William Thomas Wright and Balaan Healsey. They accompanied the Union Army when it went from Danville Ga to Washington D C.

William Thomas has a scar on the left side of his face also one on the center of the fore head.  The last caused by the Kick of a horse. The forfinger of his right hand is somewhat disatted.

Balaam has long hair like an Indian and is cross eyed.  Their master's name was Francuuis Loften.  They were formerly held as slaves by Mr W. C. Bettercourt of this place.  Their Grand mother, Katy Mapson, and their Uncle, Jordan Lofton, are very respectable people and are anxious to provide for the children.

Will ^[[you]] please cause inquirys to be made in the Freedmen's Schools of Washington & inform me of the result.?
