Requests that Mr. [[underlined]] Rumsey [[/underlined]] be employed to make 150 desks at a cost of $2 70/100 for each desk & seat, he agreeing to furnish lumber and hardware, and place them in school house on M St bet. 16 and 17th. States that if the Bureau will pay $2 00 for each desk and seat the cost of lumber and nails, the Trustees of col'd. schools will pay 70 cts the cost of making.
