I am sorry to have to inform thee our Assn is under the necessity of giving up the School at St Joseph's on account of not being able to obtain funds to pay the teachers.

We were very desirous to retain S B Howell and would gladly accept thy proposition, were it possible, of sending her to Leonardtown.

Should our Finance Com succeed in obtaining a generous renewal of subscriptions thy suggestion would no doubt be immediately acted upon.
