Mary Tabor is a good Teacher I think, and gets on well with the Blacks. I wish she could get a Situation here in the City, where she could board at home. She wishes it very much. She will do her duty and effectively too. I should not wonder if the Phil- Friends would [[strikethrough]] not [[\strikethrough]] send Teachers for those vacant schools thee spoke of. I wish thee would get them to give Mary a situation here in the city. She would suit thee in her school I am sure. The Pa Friends have more friends because the meeting is so large. I hope all the Schools will get Teachers. There is just as much need now as ever or more. I have no trials now They do excellent in night school, and after meetings clean[[best guess?]] up the room &c. &c.  They all are as good as need be and next Monday night are going to sign an anti liquor pledge. We said not just [[?]] Tobaccco only for the day [[?]] scholars Can [[partial word?]].  They are not ready for that yet. I wish thee would get a coz[[?]] to sign when thee come back.
