Permit to me inform you that the new School building on I. street between 19 & 20th streets is being very materially injured from a leakage in the roof and from the beating in of the storms over the front windows of the upper room.

As the Freedmans Bureau very kindly assisted us to the building, we trust that a word from you to the Builders will secure the needed repairs.

Even while I write the melting snow is leaking through near the chimney very badly. The roof has leaked at dif times in nearly every part of it.
