I have the honor to report for the information of the Ass't Com. that I have visited Piscataway and vicinity, of this County, and find the Freedmen all employed and doing quite well, with little or no complaint by either whites or blacks —

At Piscataway the feeling existing between the two is of an amicable character, more so than in other parts of the County — there being no opposition to the improvement and education of the colored people.

At this place they have purchased a lot of land for school purposes, and have made application for the lumber to erect a school house.
