I am grateful to you for your prompt and thoughtful kindness in regard to my transportation papers. Before accepting them I must tell the truth, if knowing it you think it admissible to send the papers, I shall esteem it a privilige which it may be in my power to make useful in the enterprise I have at heart.

The illness of my mother, will preclude my return to Virginia to teach for any length of time, but I have a hope that I may go thither this
