Mr Washington Langford, Circuit preacher of Marlborough has made a statement to Maj. Gen. Howard, that the School Committee of Marlborough, Prince George County, Md. had been promised lumber from Baltimore, to build a School House at that place as soon as they had agreed to put up the same.

Mr. Langford had a statement from the Committee, which he says, he has lost, to the effect that they are now ready for the lumber.  And as nothing is
