There will be seats for fifty six scholars in each department-besides movable seats- on this plan, while there are only fifty four on the other plan. The two rooms can be thrown into one, by means of sliding doors,which is quite an advantage on many occasions, besides affording me the advantage of controlling both schools, at the opening of school hours, and at other times, if necessary. The halls for entrance are furnished by building two enclosed piazzas or vestibules one on each side, 6 ft. by 8 ft. the girls are to enter by one vestibule, the boys by the other. The door on one side of the vestibule within enters one school, that opposite, the other.
