Yours of the 12th inst. is at hand. Enclosed please find a letter* from R. M. Janney, Esq Balt.

It is impossible to obtain Board suitable for a White Lady at  Pisgah. It is also impossible to obtain suitable Board for a White Lady in this place except at the Hotel. The price of board at the Hotel is 20$ per month Fuel & washing extra ^[[insertion]] which we are not able to pay [[/insertion]] but we can obtain comfortable and suitable board for Colored
