^[[checkmark]] [[underlined]]J. C. Fitzgerald[[/underlined]], Greenville, S.C. 1 specimen "Glass snake" ([[underlined]]Ophisaurus ventralis[[/underlined]]). Larger than any specimen in the collection (Purchase).

^[[checkmark]] [[underlined]]R. Morton Middleton[[/underlined]], South Pittsburg, Tenn. A fine specimen of [[underlined]]Plethodon aeneus[[/underlined]], a very rare species of salamander, the fourth specimen was taken, and now for the first time recorded from Tennessee. (gift).
