Total employment of civil service full and part-time permanent employees was 2,701 at the end of fiscal year 84. As demonstrated by Table 1, percentages within the six categories of employment reflected little change from fiscal year 1984.

There was an upward trend in the correction of underrepresentation for minority and nonminority women in Professional occupations as shown in Table 2 . The number of minority women increased from 19 to 22. Nonminority women increased from 122 to 131. Despite the increases, the representation of both minority and nonminority women remained below parity. Minority men decreased from 30 to 29. The representation of minority men remained below parity.
