LORETTA DEVINE (Lorrell Robinson) was last seen on Broadway in Comin' Uptown with Gregory Hines. Previously she played Dionne in the revival of Hair, and was featured in Gower Champion's A Broadway Musical. Ms. Devine received her B.A. in Theatre at the University of Houston and her M.F.A. at Brandeis University. She has appeared in more than 15 Off-Broadway productions including such roles as Miss Truth in Tad Trusdale's Godsong, as Jewel in Lion and the Jewel, and Karma in John Scott's Karma. She was seen as Virtue in The Blacks, and also in Mahalia. (Speicial thanks to Obaka and kisses to my mother, Eunice Devine).

BEN HARNEY (Curtis Taylor, Jr.) is celebrating his 10th anniversary on Broadway. Mr. Harney's Broadway credits include Ain't Misbehavin', as the Tinman in The Wiz, as the Leading Player in Pippin, Brainchild with Michel Legrand, Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope, Pajama Game with Hal Linden, Purlie, and as Zodzetrick in the Broadway premiere of Scott Joplin's opera Treemonisha. Aside from New York, Mr. Harney has toured the country doing shows and radio jingles. On television he has appeared on television series, specials and commercials. Mr. Harney is a Christian with a beautiful and devoted family. He says that all he is and has is due to the grace of God.

JENNIFER HOLLIDAY (Effie Melody White) was still in high school when discovered in Houston and ever since her life has been like a modern-day fairy tale come true. She was flown to New York by singer/dancer Jamie Patterson to audition and just like in the movies she got the part - the starring role in Vinette Carroll's Your Arms Too Short To Box With God. She toured with the national company for a year and a half and made her Broadway debut with the same production in July, 1980. Jennifer, a Libra, born October 19, believes that the opportunity to share her gift with the world is worth its weight in 24k gold.

SHERYL LEE RALPH (Deena Jones) made her stage debut at age six and her Broadway debut as the star of Michael Butler's Reggae. Her first film role was the lead in Sidney Poitier's hit A Piece of the Action. Especially noted for her television work, Ms. Ralph has guest-starred on many series including "The Jeffersons," "Good Times" and "Wonder Woman;" she starred in her own ABC pilot series "Lookin' Good." Her exciting nightclub appearances have been seen in New York, Europe, the Middle East and Japan. Born in Connecticut of Jamaican and American parents, she has won numerous awards including the Irene Ryan Scholarship Award, and was named one of Glamour's "Top Ten College Women in America." Her theatrical credits include work at the Kennedy Center, the New York Shakespeare Festival, La Mama and the Negro Ensemble Company.

DEBORAH BURRELL (Michelle Morris) made her Broadway debut in The Wiz as Glinda the Good Witch of the South. Since then she was in Eubie!, Comin' Uptown and It's So Nice To Be Civilized. As Thelma in the national company of One Mo' Time, Debye received rave reviews. She has recorded and toured extensively with Roy Ayers, The Voices of East Harlm and Zulema. Her TV appearances include the "Mike Douglas Show" and "The 1979 Emmy Awards." She once sang the national anthem for the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden.

VONDIE CURTIS-HALL (Marty) was seen last season on Broadway as The Fly opposite Lena Horne in Lena Horne: The Lady and Her Music and also in It's So Nice To Be Civilized. Mr. Curtis-Hall has appeared in productions of The Wiz, Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Dutchman and The Fabulous Miss Marie. He co-hosted television's "Daedal Doors Show" for two years and performed on PBS's "The Improvisational Theatre." He will be sen shortly in a  new film, Buffalo Soldiers.

TONY FRANKLIN (Wayne) makes his Broadway debut in Dreamgirls. He previously sang the blues in the national company of Eubie! and appeared in Joseph Papp's New York Shakespeare Festival
