EDYE BYRD (General Cartwright) made her Broadway debut as the Wick Witch of the West in the Tony-Award winning musical hit The Wiz. A jazz, pop and classical singer, she was a leading soloist with the Forrest Avenue Congregational Church in New York before joining the American Community Theater under the direction of Maxwell Glanville. Her television appearances include the How To Survive A Marriage and Feeling Good shows and the TV movie, The Wedding Band. She was the featured singer with her husband, bassist Jimmy Butts, and his tri playing clubs and hotels throughout the East, the Catskills and the Poconos for nine years.

CLARK MORGAN (Lieutenant Brannigan), an actor-singer, has appeared on Broadway in musicals and plays including Flora, The Red Menace with Liza Minelli, Mandingo with Franchot Tone, and as the pastor in the Great White Hop. He has played the role of Pishchik in Joe Papp's production of Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard and has toured the colleges of the United States in Taming of The Shrew, The Merchant of Venice, Murder In The Cathedral, as well as the title roles in Othello, and The Emperor Jones. Mr. Morgan toured Europe in Freed And Easy. He has been seen in numerous television commercials and in the films for Love of Ivy and Walk East On Beacon. 
JOHN RUSSELL (Harry the Horse), a native of Philadelphia, began his theatrical career concurrently with his studieas at Juilliard by doing TV commercials. His winning the First International Lauritz Melchior Heldentenor Award climaxed widespread participation in vocal competitions, national and international. He made his stage debut as the celebrant in Leonard Bernstein's Mass, and his first operatic role was Verdi's Otello. He toured in God's Trombones, and has been a featured soloist with numerous symphony orchestras, His film credits include Death Wish, Pelham 1-2-3, Dog Day Afternoon, Marathon Man, American Moments, Independence, Lord Shango, A meeting of Minds and the upcoming Black Spy. On television he has appeared on Another World, All My Children, Somerset, Love of Life, Kojak, Doctors and many talks shows. 
KEN PAGE (Nicely-Nicely) is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. He first appeared in New York in Ragtime Blues at the AMAS Repertory Theatre. Mr. Page also understudied the role of Gitlow in the Los Angeles Company of Purlie. He has worked with the Fanfare Theatre Ensemble of New York and has appeared in productions of South Pacific, Man of La Mancha, and Take Me Along with Gene Kelly. This is Mr. Page's Broadway debut. 
CHRISTOPHE PIERRE (Benny Southstreet), a native of New Orleans, made his Broadway debut in Don't Bother Me,  cant Cope. He has performed in The Wiz. after a two year period in Asia, he founded The Dimensions Ensemble Company, for which he has written, directed and produced several of his own works, including Everybody's Looking for Something. He has performed at the Host Farms, Reno Sweeney, Avon Lounge and My Way Clubs.
EMETT "BABE" WALLACE (Arvide) is an international performer appearing in many productions and clubs in London, Paris, Hollywood, Tel Aviv as wall as New York and in such shows as Lysistrata, Anna Lucasta, La Dame de Petit Virtu, One More River, The Bald Soprano, Mojo and many others. He has also made films in many of the above mentioned cities, and performed in many of the Harlem clubs as well as clubs around the world.
