giraffe stencilling, $95; $125. Muffs, brand-new again, are $250 in mink.
Now, don't let me discourage you if, price no object, you are out for a coat in sable, mink, fisher, chinchilla, jaguar, leopard and like that. Simply join the well-heeled little mob who gets theirs at Ben Kahn, 150 W 30th St., NYC. What I am saying is: the styling and workmanship, even at $600, cater to my personal bias.

Anne Klein's black and white part pantsuit in supple four-ply crepe, $120. Saks Fifth Avenue.

With good clothes getting higher by the minute, and me wanting to feel precious at semiprecious prices, Anne Klein's things seem more desirable than ever. Obviously I am no loner in this opinion. Anne Klein Rooms are opening up in classy stores through the country. Just as a starter, there'll be ten in the Saks Fifth Avenue branches alone.
The first Room opened mid-August in New York's Saks Fifth. I went. It was chaos. Less like a stylish opening than like one of the famous Saks handbag sales

CHARLEY O

I get more fans and more phonies than anybody else in town. But the funny this is, they all eat good. I'm that proud of my supper menu, even though lots of them trot right up to my Sandwich Bar. I can't complain, though. Just as long as they keep drinking!
