GREGORY HINES (Jelly Roll Morton/Tap Choreography) "I'm very happy to be back on Broadway and I hope you enjoy the show!"

KEITH DAVID (Chimney Man) is perhaps best known for his portrayal of King in the Academy Award-winning Platoon. Among his other film credits are Marked for Death, Off Limits, Bird, Men at Work and two John Carpenter films, They Live and The Thing. Mr. David received an NAACP Image Award nomination for the latter. He stars in Orion Pictures' Article 99 and the BBC film Hallelujah, Anyhow. Mr. David can currently be seen in Finally Analysis. He received the 1989 St. Clair Bayfield Award from Actors' Equity for his performance as Volscan General Tullus Aufidius in Coriolanus. His Broadway credits include The Lady from Dubuque, and Off-Broadway he appeared in Fragments of a Greek Trilogy and Titus Andronicus. Other credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Fantasticks, The Threepenny Opera, Africanis Instructus and the New York Shakespeare Festival's La Bohème. Born in Harlem, Mr. David is a graduate of New York's High School of the Performing Arts and Juilliard, and also of the Edith Skinner Institute and Chauncey Northern Vocal Arts School, and a member of La MaMa Repertory Theatre Company. He is currently studying with Florence Riggs-Helene.
SAVION GLOVER (Young Jelly), one of the youngest males to be nominated for a Tony Award for his performance in Black and Blue, is 18 years old. He made his Broadway debut as the title character in The Tap Dance Kid at the age of 12. In 1988 Savion co-starred in the film Tap with Gregory Hines and Sammy Davis, Jr. On  television he has appeared in "Dance in America: Tap!" with Gregory Hines and Tommy Tune for PBS and Nickelodeon, The Academy Awards, Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame and is currently a series regular on "Sesame Street." Savion has danced on concert stages throughout the world, including the Moulin Rouge, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. He most recently danced in a tribute to the Nicholas Brothers on "The Kennedy Center Honors" for CBS. He received the 1991 Martin Luther King, Jr. Outstanding Youth Award. He recently choreographed a work for the Washington Society for the Performing Arts in association with the NEA. He is currently working on an album.
STANLEY WAYNE MATHIS (Jack the Bear/Ensemble) was last seen on Broadway as the Figity Foot Club MC in David Merrick's Oh, Kay! Other theatrical credits include Spunk at the Royal Court Theatre in London, Williams and Walker at the Bermuda Theatre Festival and Jelly's Last Jam at the Mark Taper Forum in L.A. He is looking forward to a TV and film career.

TONYA PINKINS (Anita) is excited to be recreating the role of Anita in Jelly's Last Jam after its successful run at the Mark Taper Forum. Tonya has performed on and Off-Broadway, and in regional theatre. Some credits include The Piano Lesson (Goodman Theatre and the San Diego Rep), Joe Turner's Come and Gone (the Pittsburgh Public Theater), The 1991 Young Playwrights Festival (Playwrights Horizons), Eustavia Uye in Larry Kramer's Just Say No (WPA), Approximating Mother (Judith Anderson), George Wolfe's The Caucasian Chalk Circle (Public Theater) and across the street at the Alvin (now the Neil Simon Theatre) in Merrily We Roll Along. Tonya can also be seen almost daily on ABC's "All My Children." Thanks to my husband, Ron Breyer, for his love and support.
MARY BOND DAVIS (Miss Mamie/Ancestor/Ensemble). Broadway: Mail. Off-Broadway: In Trousers. MAMIE DUNCAN-GIBBS (Hunnie) has appeared in numerous productions, including Bob Fosse's Sweet Charity, Graciela Daniele's Dangerous Games: Two Tango Pieces, the original company of The Tap Dance Kid, The Life co-written by Cy Coleman, Sophisticated Ladies (as The Danseuse) with Mercer Ellington and, most recently, with Liza Minnelli in her Stepping Out at Radio City concert.
ANN DUQUESNAY (Gram Mimi/Ancestor) is a recipient of the AUDELCO Theatre Award for her performance in George C. Wolfe's Spunk and a Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award for her performance in the one-woman show Lady Day, portraying the life of Billie Holiday. Broadway credits include the revival of The Wiz, in which she played Glinda, and Blues in the Night.
STEPHANIE POPE (Hunnie) was last seen in The Will Rogers Follies as one of The New Ziegfeld Girls. She also appeared in the role of Ziegfeld's Favorite opposite Keith Carradine. Other Broadway credits include Sweet Charity and Big Deal, both directed and choreographed by Bob Fosse. Now she's ready to Jam wit Jelly!
RUBEN SANTIAGO-HUDSON (Buddy Bolden) originated the role of Buddy Bolden at the Mark Taper Forum. Other theatre highlights: A Soldier's Play, Ceremonies in Dark Old Men, The Rabbit Foot, Boogie Woogie & Booker T, Conversations in Exile, the Negro Ensemble Company, Guthrie, Goodman, Ford's Theatre. TV: currently on "Dear John" and "Another World." Film: Which Way Home and Coming to America. Praise God!
ALLISON M. WILLIAMS (Hunnie). Broadway credits include Sweet Charity; Dreamgirls; Dancin; The Wiz; Pippin; Sing, Mahalia, Sing (tour); and Guys and Dolls. She's worked with Stevie Wonder, Roberta Flack, Natalie Cole, Southside Johnny, Desmond Childs and Cameo. Other credits include TV, print and voiceovers. She was the assistant choreographer for "The Cosby Show" and the American Music Theatre Festival's Betsy Brown.
KEN ARD (Foot-in-Yo-Ass Sam/Ensemble). Jelly marks Ken's seventh Broadway show. Others include the original casts of Cats, Starlight Express and Dangerous Games. He has appeared in national television commercials and been featured in music videos aired on MTV. Ken also starred with Patti LaBelle in House of Flowers directed by Geoffrey Holder.
ADRIAN BAILEY (Ancestor/Ensemble) was last seen on Broadway in Black and Blue. Other credits include Legs Diamond, My One and Only, Sophisticated Ladies, Your Arm's Too Short to Box with God, and many TV appearances and Off-Broadway plays. Adrian thanks God for his many blessings and also thanks his chiropractor.
