starring Polly Bergen; and Victor Borge specials. In film, Mr. Henderson was the composer and the orchestrator for Recess and The Slams. He has released more than a dozen albums, including Turned on Broadway (Volumes I and II) for RCA and is featured on the original cast album of Ain't Misbehavin'. He was also the arranger/orchestrator for the Canadian Brass Quintet album Mostly Fats and his Luther Henderson orchestra has recorded 
six albums for Columbia Records. He has also recorded several albums of Broadway music with London's Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. 
SUSAN BIRKENHEAD (Lyricist) was one of the writers nominated for a Tony Award for Working. She won an Outer Critics Circle Award for What About Luv and was one of the contributing writers of A ... My Name is Alice. She and Mr. Wolfe met when they collaborated on Queenie Pie. 
HOPE CLARKE (Choreographer) began her career performing in West Side Story and appeared in seven other Broadway shows, including Purlie; Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope; Hallelujah, Baby!; and Grind. She has been on international tours with Alvin Ailey and Black Nativity, and has danced with Katherine Dunham. She also choreographed The Colored Museum, The Caucasian Chalk Circle and Spunk at the Public Theater. For Opera Ebony, Ms. Clarke directed Porgy and Bess, Menotti's The Medium and The Wiz (Mexico). She recently choreographed Black Eagles, first at the Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C., and then 
at New York's Manhattan Theatre Club. 
ROBIN WAGNER (Scenic Designer). Broadway designs include Crazy for You; City of Angels; Jerome Robbins' Broadway; Chess; A Chorus Line; Dreamgirls; 42nd Street; Song & Dance; On the Twentieth Century; Jesus Christ Superstar; Lenny; Promises, Promises; The Great White Hope; and Hair. Other theatrical 
work ranges from Off-Broadway and regional theatre to opera, including the Royal, Metropolitan and Vienna State operas. Honors include Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Lumen and Maharam awards. He served on the Theatre Advisory Council to New York City and is a trustee for the New York Shakespeare Festival. Mr. Wagner teaches theatre arts at Columbia Graduate School and is senior vice president of The Design Edge, an organization specializing in corporate exhibitions. 
TONI-LESLIE JAMES (Costume Designer) is happy to be making her Broadway debut with Jelly's Last Jam. She has joyfully collaborated with George C. Wolfe on the New York Shakespeare 
Festival productions of Spunk and The Caucasian Chalk Circle (Drama Desk and American Theatre Wing nominations), WNET/Thirteen's production of "The Colored Museum" and the Mark Taper Forum's production of Jelly's Last Jam (Drama-Logue Award). She has also designed for the Circle Repertory Company, Crossroads Theatre Company, the Royal Court, Mabou Mines, the Ford's Theatre,
Pan Asian Repertory Company, Berkeley Rep, Ensemble Studio Theatre, and BACA Downtown. Her dance projects include Come and Get the Beauty of It Hot, the recreation of 10 ballets for The Magic of Katherine Dunham and Survivors, all formthe Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. She is a proud member of SGI-USA. For David and Cosima Higham. 
JULES FISHER (Lighting Designer) has had an extensive career, lighting more than 100 Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, including Hamlet, La Cage aux Folles, Song & Dance, Frankenstein, Beatlemania, Chicago, American Buffalo, Hair, High Spirits, Jesus Christ Superstar, Lenny, Butterflies Are Free and his Tony Award-winning productions of The Will Rogers Follies, Pippin, Ulysses in Nighttown, Dancin' and Grand Hotel: The Musical. These are representative of his mainstream credits. As a producer, his credits include The Rink; the award-winning 
Lenny; Bob Fosse's Dancin'; Rock n' Roll! The First 5,000 Years; and Elvis: A Musical Celebration. He was also executive producer of Bob Fosse's Big Deal. In the world of rock music, Mr. Fisher served as production supervisor on tours for the groups Kiss, The Rolling Stones and David

Bowie, as well as the rock concert tour of Tommy. He designed the lighting for Linda Ronstadt's Canciones de mi Padre tour and for the Simon and Garfunkel concert in Central Park. Mr. Fisher also serves as theatre consultant to architects around the country. In his spare time he practices magic. 
LINDA TWINE (Musical Director). Veteran Broadway conductor Linda Twine has directed such hits as Big River, Lena Horne: The Lady and Her Music, Ain't Misbehavin' and The Wiz. The Muskogee, OK, native was the conductor for Andre Heller's highly acclaimed Body and Soul in Germany and Austria, and with the 
Manaichi Broadcasting System production of Harlem Symphony in Osaka, Japan. She has been a conductor for the Brooklyn Philharmonic Summer in the Park pop concert series and is vocal arranger for the Boys' Choir of Harlem. Ms. Twine was Musical Director for the Mark Taper Forum production of Jelly's Last Jam.

JEFFREY FRANK (Hair Designer), along with his partner Dennis Bergevin, serves as co-director of Elsen Associates. The firm is currently resident hair and make-up designer for more than 35 opera companies in the U.S. and Canada. They have participated in the festivals of Edinburgh, Jerusalem, and Spoleto (U.S., Italy, Australia). Credits also include many top regional theatre companies, as well as educational affiliations with Yale University and The Kennedy Center Education Department. On Broadway, their work includes On Your Toes, The Merchant of Venice, starring Dustin Hoffman and the current production of August Wilson's Two Trains Running. Mr. Frank has also collaborated with George C. Wolfe on 
Duke Ellington's Queenie Pie, Spunk and 
the PBS production of "The Colored Museum."
BARBARA POLLITT (Mask & Puppet Designer) is a designer, performer and composer for works utilizing masks and puppetry. She was recently awarded Theatre Wing and Drama Desk nominations for her design work in George C. 
Wolfe's production of The Caucasian Chalk Circle at the Public Theater. Ms. Pollitt also designed the masks and puppets for Mr. Wolfe's production of Spunk, which played at the Public Theater as well as London's Royal Court, the Mark Taper Forum and Berkeley Repertory Theatre. As a performer, Ms. Pollitt was second
