WHO'S WHO IN THE CAST.

PAMELA ISAACS (Queen) last seen on Broadway in Lincoln Center production of Hello Again. She has previously starred in the regional production of An Asian Jockey In Our Midst, Happy End, Lady Day At Emerson's Bar & Grill, The Colored Museum, Conrack, Oh, Kay!, Dreamgirls, Billy Daniels Black Magic, Bubbling Brown Sugar, Betsey Brown, Ballard of Evaline & Bess, Porgy & Bess, Seasons Reasons and Showgirls. Television appearances include guest starring on last season's "Homicide" and appearing as Delia on NBC's "Another World."

KEVIN RAMSEY (Fleetwood) is a native of New Orleans. Broadway: original companies of Five Guys Named Moe, Oh, Kay! (recipient of Theater World and Astaire Awards), Black And Blue. Film & television: Night Falls on Manhattan, directed by the Sidney Lumet and featured opposite Andy Garcia. Trial by Jury, opposite William Hurt. "Evidence of Humanity" a made for television movie opposite Peter Falk. "As the World Turns," in the recurring role of Felix Harrison. He served as Co-Producer/Director/Writer of Tap Rap, a short film, starring Savion Glover. Most recently, he co-authored the book, music and lyrics for the new Broadway-bound musical, If These Shoes Could Talk, originally produced in 1993 at the Milwaukee Repertory, followed by a world premiere at the Arkansas Rep in 1996. Kevin and his writing partner, Lee Summers, were nominated by the 1996 Musical of the Year International Competition for Best Song and were awarded the grand prize for Best Musical by the NYP Theater Writers Festival. This graduate of NYU's theatre/film program is honored to be part of this extraordinary production. Many blessings.

LILLIAS WHITE (Sonja) received unqualified acclaim for her triumphant portrayal of Jonesy in the recent revival of How to Succeed in Business... Her previous Broadway appearances include Cats (Grizzabella), Once On This Island (Asaka), Dreamgirls (Effie), Rock 'n' Roll: The First 5000 Years (Aretha Franklin) and Barnum (Joice Heth). Off-Broadway she starred in Waiting for Godot, The Princess & The Black-eyed Pea, Antigone Africanus and Romance in Hard Times for which she won an Obie Award. Her national and international tours include Ain't Misbehavin', The Wiz, Tintypes and Dreamgirls (Drama-Logue Award). She won an Emmy Award for her work on "Sesame Street" after which she made several guest appearances on "Law & Order" and "NYPD Blue." She has appeared in concert at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center as well as a guest soloist at the White House (PBS-TV). She is featured in the upcoming Disney animated film Hercules in which she plays Calliope.

SAM HARRIS (Jojo) was last seen on Broadway in Grease (Drama Desk nomination) after which he starred in the national tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. He has also starred in productions of Jesus Christ Superstar, Cabaret, Hard Copy (Drama-Logue Awards for writing and acting) and Different Hats (Drama-Logue Award). Sam first splashed into the public eye as the grand champion in "Star Search" in its premiere season. His phenomenal "overnight" rise catapulted him into the recording industry, where he has sold over a million copies of both Sam Harris and Sam-I-Am, which he also produced. Sam has toured the country in concert to sold-out audiences, including Carnegie Hall, Los Angeles' Universal Amphitheatre and London's West End. He wrote the TBS sitcom, "Down to Earth," which ran for four years, and also co-wrote and directed the musical Hurry! Hurry! Hollywood! as well as the critically acclaimed Hard Copy. His most recent recordings include Standard Time and Different Stages both produced, arranged and conducted by Peter Matz. Currently, Sam is working on his next CD.

to Watch Over Me, Rumors, Amen Corner and Getting Away With Murder. National tours include The Tap Dance Kid, Eubie and Whistle Down the Wind. Off-Broadway: Avenue X, Police Boys and Colored People's Time. Regional theatre: Othello in Othello at the New Jersey Shakespeare Festival, Brutus in Julius Caesar at the Philadelphia Drama Guild, Tullus Aufidius in Coriolanus at the Old Globe Theatre and Caliban in The Tempest at the Alliance Theatre Company. Television credits include "Law & Order," "The Cosby Mysteries," "New York Undercover," "I'll Fly Away" and "The Bold and the Beautiful." His most recent film credit is The Juror. Favorite role: Eddie, Alex and Lilli's father.

BELLAMY YOUNG (Mary) makes her Broadway debut with The Life. Other theatre credits include Randy Newman's Faust at the LaJolla Playhouse and the Goodman Theatre, the revival of Merrily We Roll Along at the York Theatre and the Richard Chamberlain My Fair Lady, as well as productions at Hartford Stage, Paper Mill Playhouse, and Manhattan Theatre Club. On television, she has appeared on "All My Children," "One Life to Live" and, most recently, "Another World" as the original Dr. Courtney Evans. Amy is a graduate of Yale University and holds a certificate from the British American Drama Academy through Oxford University.

VERNEL BAGNERIS (Lacy) wrote, directed and performed in the international hit One Mo' Time and its critically acclaimed sequel Further Mo'. The former ran for three-and-a-half years at the Village Gate and branched out into seven touring companies in addition to runs in Australia and in London's West End for a year and a half. Vernel also wrote and directed the musical fable Staggerlee with Allen Toussaint and starring Ruth Brown. On film He has appeared in Jim Jarmusch's Down By Law and Herbert Ross' Pennies From Heaven. For PBS American Playhouse, he performed in "A Marriage: Georgia O'Keefe and Alfred Steigletz," with Jane Alexander and Christopher Plummer. He received Obie Award and Drama Desk Award nominations for his performance in Jelly Roll! and an Outer Critics Circle Award and the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical as the author of Jelly Roll!

RICH HEBERT (Lou) comes into The Life after a three year ride on Sunset Boulevard. Other Broadway and national company credits include Rock n' Roll: The First 5000 Years, Tugger in Cats and Les Misérables (Broadway, L.A. and San Francisco companies). Rich received the Bay Area Critics Circle Award for his portrayal of Jean Valjean in the San Francisco Company of Les Misérables. His television credits include "21 Jump Street," "The Oldest Rookie," "Mothers Daughters," a movie-of-the-week entitled "Lovers," "Loving," "Ryan's Hope" and "The Young and the Restless". Rich can be seen in the upcoming film The Conspiracy Theory with Mel Gibson.

GORDON JOSEPH WEISS (Snickers) has appeared on Broadway in Jelly's Last Jam, The Visit, Raggedy Ann, King of Hearts, Goodtime Charley and Jumpers. Mr. Weiss was also nominated for a Drama Desk and Tony for his role in Ghetto. Regional credits: King Lear, Treasure Island, Between the Lines at the Actors Theatre of Louisville and Queen and the Rebels at the Baltimore Center Stage. Film credits include Awakenings, Reversal of Fortune and Howard Stern: Private Parts. Television credits: "NYPD Blue," "New York Undercover," "Law & Order," "Swift Justice," "New York News," "Pete and Pete," "All My Children," "As the World Turns" and "One Life to Live."
