WHO'S WHO IN THE CAST Side Story and the General Manager for the Kander/Ebb musical Steel Pier. ROGER BERLIND (Producer) is delighted to be reunited with Cy Coleman, who, with Larry Gelbart and David Zippel, wrote City Of Angels, which Roger co-produced. Since 1990, in addition to City of Angels, his Broadway productions are: Peter Shaffer's Lettice & Lovage; Death And The Maiden by Ariel Dorfman; the revival of Frank Loesser's Guys & Dolls; Hamlet with Ralph Fiennes; Passion by James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim; Jean Cocteau's Indiscretions, Getting Away With Murder by Stephen Sondheim and George Furth; David Hare's Skylight; and currently A Funny Thing Happened On The Way to the Forum by Burt Shevelove, Larry Gelbart and Stephen Sondheim. He is also producing the current John Kander, Fred Ebb and David Thompson musical Steel Pier. MARTIN RICHARDS (Producer) heads the film and theatrical company Producer Circle, which he founded in 1976 with his late wife Mary Lea Johnson and Robert Fryer. His Broadway productions include Chicago, directed and choreographed by Bob Fosse (11 Tony nominations, Best Musical, London and Los Angeles), Alan Ayckbourn's The Norman Conquests (Outer Critics Circle Award), On the Twentieth Century, directed by Harold Prince (five Tony Awards), Sweeney Todd, also directed by Mr. Prince (eight Tonys including Best Musical), Grand Hotel, directed and choreographed by Tommy Tune (five Tonys), The Will Rogers Follies, also directed and choreographed by Mr. Tune (six Tonys including Best Musical), Sally Marr...and Her Escorts, starring Joan Rivers (Best Actress Tony nominee). Off-Broadway he produced Dylan (Obie Award), the musicals March of the Falsettos (Outer Critics Circle Award Best Musical), Mayor and, with Michael Douglas, Hugh Whitmore's The Best of Friends. His film productions include The Boys From Brazil, The Shining and Fort Apache, The Bronx. He, together with Mr. Fryer, Mr. Crothers and Miramax Films are now in production for the film version of the musical, Chicago. Mr. Richards has recently been appointed by Mayor Giuliani to the Board of Trustees of the Trust for Cultural Resources of the City of New York. SAM CROTHERS (Producer) is Managerial Partner at Producer Circle. He co-produced The Will Rogers Follies, Grand Hotel, Foxfire and Father's Day and was Associate Producer on Mayor, March of the Falsettos, Sweeney Todd and On the Twentieth Century.
